In a surprising crossover event that breaks usual forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Disclosed

According to the authorized announcement, "A strange encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of banned practices and fearsome transformations echo through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with venturing into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a clandestine cult.

The mission focuses on "peculiar tests and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Changes

The preview highlights the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Bonus Material

Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana in addition to numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
