I'll dominate 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former two-time unified boxing king Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
